Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. We've been swamped with horse and dog shows since the July show.
My daughter, Kawai Nahoopii is 14 years old and has been showing in Juniors since she was about 6 years old, competative jrs since the age of 9. She primarily handles sporting dogs, but has since branched out to some working and herding group dogs. She currently owns a neutered golden retriever, Dawson who was her first Jrs. dog who has his Rally novice title and a beginner novice obedience leg and is training in agility, co owns a golden retriever named Takai, who she recently got his Canadian CH on and also is pointed in AKC, co owns an English springer spaniel, Domino, who lives with us and recently began showing her first ever bred by bitch, a chocolate Labrador named Jewel. She has qualified for the Eukanuba national championship 4 times, and has competed there 3 times. She was also fortunate enough to qualify for the Garden at the age of 10, although we did not go, it was an honor to be eligible.
She is a 9th grader in high school and while showing dogs and her own horse, Riley, she maintained a 3.56 GPA all thru 7th and 8th grade. She is planning on attending vet school for equine medicine once she finishes high school and hopes to be able to continue to compete with her horse, one day riding in the Rolex.
Chantel Nahoopii
Editors Note: We look forward to watching Kawai and Riley compete in the Rolex.
